Defeating Peshawar Zalmi, Multan became the Sultans of PSL 6 In the final match of PSL 6, Multan Sultan defeated Peshawar Zalmi by 47 runs to win the PSL title for the first time.

In the final match played at Abu Dhabi’s Sheikh Zayed Stadium, Peshawar Zalmai’s team scored 159 for 9 in the allotted overs following the Sultans’ 207 runs.

Both the early batsmen gave the Peshawar team a good start in pursuit of a big target and were already aggressive from the over. 

However, in the second ball of the sixth over, Hazratullah Zazai made six off five balls and was caught by Mazarbani. Kamran Akmal also returned to the pavilion in the next over.  His wicket was taken by Imran Khan. 

Kamran Akmal scored 36 off 28 balls.  Jonathan Wells was run out for six off 13 balls. Shoaib Malik was bowled by Imran Khan in the 12th over but the ball was declared nine balls.  Powell made 23 off 14 balls and was caught by Mazarbani.  His innings included three fours and three sixes.

From Multan Sultans, Imran Tahir led three players to the pavilion, Mazarbani and Imran Khan took two wickets each and Sohail Tanveer took one wicket.

Batting first, Multan Sultans gave Peshawar Zalmi a target of 207 runs to win. In the match played at Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi, Multan Sultans batted first and scored 206 runs for the loss of 4 wickets in the stipulated overs and gave Peshawar Zalmi a target of 207 runs to win.

Sohaib Maqsood scored the fastest half-century off 26 balls while opener Shaun Masood and captain Mohammad Rizwan were dismissed for 37 and 30 runs respectively.

Middle order batsman Riley Russia was dismissed for 50, Johnson Charles returned to the pavilion without scoring a run, Sohaib Maqsood played a not out innings of 65 runs. Mohammad Imran and Samin Gul took two wickets each for Peshawar Zalmi.
