ICC to hold T20 World Cup in UAE instead of India
Dubai: The scheduled T20 World Cup in India has been shifted to the United Arab Emirates this year.
According to popular cricket website (KirkInfo), the scheduled Indian Premier League in the UAE will be completed by October 15, after which the T20 World Cup matches will start on October 17.
The T20 World Cup matches will be played in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah, 30 matches will be played in the event, 12 teams will be divided into 2 groups while the event file will be played on November 14. The first round matches will be played.
Against the United Arab Emirates in Oman In this regard, the Indian Board has to formally write for the transfer of the World Cup to the United Arab Emirates.
According to the proposed schedule, the matches of the Super 12 stage will start from October 24.
The ICC had given the Indian board a June 1 deadline to provide details of match venues. Demands for the transfer of the T20 World Cup to the United Arab Emirates were also gaining momentum after the Indian Premier League was postponed due to increasing cases of Corona in India.
The official announcement of the transfer of the World Cup is expected in a few days by the ICC.
